Belly Dancing

You cannot wait to marry the man you love. You just know that everything would be perfect if only you could lose a few pounds and tone your body before your wedding.

Sound familiar?

If you have tried various types of diets and every form of exercise imaginable but are still unsatisfied with the look and feel of your body, then it is time to consider a Middle Eastern style of dance that has been made popular in western culture. We are talking about belly dancing!

If you have never thought of shaking your booty and gyrating your hips as you do a dance that is a universal celebration of being female, then it is about time you did! Belly dancing is an excellent way to lose weight for your wedding and to tone up, not to mention to improve your posture.

Often thought of as the new Pilates, belly dancing is considered to be an art form, a way to have fun and an excellent workout for the body, inside and out. If you attend belly dancing classes regularly, you WILL notice a different in the appearance of your body. You also will feel better.

Belly dancing uses muscles that you do not use through many ordinary daily activities. This gives way to movement in all of the muscle groups, and it makes a bride-to-be have a more flexible and limber body. Overall toning of the body is also possible with belly dancing. If you are a sloucher, then belly dancing can help change this as it will strengthen the muscles in your back.

Weight loss and fat burning are a given when you participate in regular belly dancing classes. Belly dancing is made up of a variety of moves including contractions, snake arms, ribcage arches and hip lifts. These moves aid in burning fat as quickly as possible. Did you know that a one hour belly dancing class can burn about 350 to 500 calories? It can. That is something to smile about for sure!

If you would like more strength in your arms, then belly dancing can help accomplish that for you. It also firms your leg muscles and gives them a more toned appearance.

Belly dancing is also an excellent way to release pre-wedding jitters and to get you in touch with your sexy, sensual side- just in time for your wedding night!
